Our guesses

Hey all!!! We do a Little thing in our family once we find out if it is a boy or a girl. We guess the hair color, eye color, wight, length, the day it will come, and what it will be doing when it is born. Daddy doesn't participate. He says it's up to God. We all know that but it's still fun to guess how the baby will look. So here's all of our guesses:

Mom:
Eye color: green
Hair color: brown
Weight: 8 pounds
Length: 20 inches
Date: July 31st, 2010 (we all protested it wasn't fair since she was the one who was having the baby and could somewhat control it)
How she will come out: crying (I don't think it's very funny. It's a joke since I came out crying. They say I haven't stopped since. Ahaha, not funny.)

Presley:
Eye color: green
Hair color: brown
Weight: 8LB 6OZ
Length: 19 inches
Date: July 30th, 2010
How she'll come out: Crying hysterically not stopping (This is really not funny)

Garrett:
Eye color: brown
Hair color: brown
Weight: 8LB 3OZ
Length: 19 1/2 inches
Date: August 1st, 2010
How the little darling will come out: Crying and squirming (Are you seeing a pattern?)

Alex:
Eye color: green
Hair color: blonde
Weight: 7LB 15OZ
Date: August 1st
How she'll come out: Kicking and screaming (notice the word crying is not mentioned)

Noah:
Eye color: green (seems to be popular)
Hair color: white

Note: Noah is three

So, there are our guesses I don't know why on earth I thought mom would have a baby under eight pounds since that has never happened before.

The Baby!!!

Hi everyone!!! We found out the baby is a GIRL!!! Isn't that exciting? After all I said about loving to be the only girl and now I'll have a sister! We will be thirteen years apart, but I think it'll be fun once I'm grown. Just think, she'll be 13 when I'm 26. So she could either babysit my kids or I could drop my kids off at mom's house and take her somewhere!!! Fun! To be honest we were all shocked. I think we were expecting it to be a boy. But, God thought differently. I would've been fine with either one. I trust in God's perfect plan for my life. Just when I thought His plan was for me to be the only girl, He showed me He has a plan for me to have a much younger sister!!! I have no idea what that might be, though. I'm not meant to understand but to trust. Just like Abraham in the Bible. He had to trust God would give him a son even when his wife was barren!!! But he tried to do it himself instead of letting God handle it and work it out perfectly like He always does!!! So I know what my job is. To trust. We're all very excited we'll be having a sister/daughter. Personally, I'd like her to be girly. I'm girly, I want a girly sister. And I believe God calls us to be feminine. I can't wait to play with her and dress her in the cutest little dresses! That sounds so fun!!! It'll be so different for me to have another girl in the house besides my mom. Well, I'll post again soon!

Hey ya'll! I'm really enjoying blogging! Sorry I haven't blogged in a few days! I'm really trying not to let the rain put me down. I don't feel as energized when it rains. I think my little brothers are the complete opposite. They are ALWAYS energized (believe me that can be tiring). To any of you that have little siblings, remember Philippians 4:13. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"-Phil. 4:13. I love my little brothers. My brothers are hard not to love. Naturally charming and adorable, sweet, nice, everything good. Don't get me wrong, they are most definitely not perfect (diddo for me!), but I love them because God gave them to me to be my brothers and it's my duty to love them and be nice to them (I think they need it after a day spent roughing around with all their brothers). So, therefore, I LOVE being the only girl. It makes me feel special and see my place in my family more clearly. After saying all that, and this baby might be girl! I can't believe I'll be turning 13 in less than a month! It will make me feel so much older! Then next is fourteen, then fifteen, then, sixteen! Sorry, I got a little carried away. I was kind of sad because last year all my little friends turned ten! I don't know, somehow they used to be seven (well, ha ha, they were) and now they're in double digits! In a way, it makes me feel old. Somewhat. Maybe not. Right now Mom and I are doing a Beth Moore study called "Believing God". It's really good! It challenges you to not only believe in God but to believe him. There are five points in our little pledge:
~God is who He says He is
~God can do what He says He can do
~I am who God says I am
~I can do all things through Christ
~God's word is alive and active in me
Can you believe, I did that from memory! I don't know, not to be prideful, but I've always been good with memorizing stuff. Anyway, I'm sorry, I (like every one else) struggle with pride. Well, I'll post again soon!

Going ons

Hi! Day two of my blogging! I'm having so much fun with it. Presley and Garrett are looking over my shoulder. Garrett's begging me to tell him what I wrote (he's learning to read and he recognized his name). Presley is into the Newsboys (I like them too). Today is a beautiful day, isn't it? I just LOVE sunny days, don't you? This week's snow was too mushy to play in but prohibited access to activities outside the home (bummer!). Garrett is reciting mathematical equations (Presley had to correct my spelling on that). Have I mentioned Mom's expecting? I'm sure I have, but I'm just so excited! I have several friends that have blogs; it's so fun to look at them! Some of my favorite music artists are Rebeccah st. James, Britt Nicole, The Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Brandon Heath, and Jeremy Camp. I like some of Carrie Underwood's songs like: "So Small" and "Jesus take the wheel". I'd love to hear some comments on what artists you like and some songs you recommend. If you have itunes I would seriously consider looking into Britt Nicole. She has some awesome songs like: "Don't worry Now", "Set the world on fire", and "Headphones". There are lots of other great songs by her too. The Newsboys might sound a little weird, but their songs are really upbeat and have good points to them. Well, I hope to post again soon! Bye ya'll!

Introduction to the Davis Family

Hello! I'm Alex. I'm the only girl of the Davis family (besides my mom). I'm twelve years old and I have four brothers, an amazing Mom, a wonderful Dad,and a sibling on the way!The other members of our family are more to the animal side. They include: a dog (Beau), a fish (Goldie. I think that is the last survivor's name), and a lizard (Slash). The lizard and fish belong to my little brother Garrett. Can you tell a bit about his personality now? I love the Lord and desire to glorify Him through dressing modestly and obeying Him. I believe in Biblical femininity and courtship.I love to write! It is my heart's desire to be a writer when I grow up. I've written several books. Though I'm not sure if they're any good. My older brother, Presley, is interested in robotics. He loves science! My 3 year old brother Noah is a sweet heart. But, mind you, no one is perfect. So he can be mischievious. Joshua, the baby of the house, is soooooo....... cute! You know it's hard to find fault in babies so I'll just tell you all the things I love about him! He loves to say "num" (your welcome)when you try to get him to say "thank you". What a sweetie. My seven year old brother Garrett is a charmer. That's all I need to say. He can wrap Mom around his little finger just by looking at her. Well, there's your intro to the Davis fam. I'll post again soon!!!
Hi, I'm Alex. I believe in the one true God that died on a cross to save me of my sins. I'm twelve years old. I have four wonderful brothers and two amazing parents!God has never forsaken me and my family. I believe in Biblical femininity and courtship. I long to have a gentle and quiet spirit to glorify God.

Just starting to blog

The Ross Davis family has begun to blog. I hope this provides a means to communicate with other like minded Christians that are looking to glorify God in all we do.
